Neuroscientist Shows Brain Structures Through Art

Human brain is beautiful and thought to be one of the most unusual and complicated structure of the universe. Greg Dunn, who got a Ph.D from Pennsylvania, USA, in Neuroscience, later on turned to be an artist, has depicted in his paintings the human Brain.
He used aluminum plates, painted using gold and shown the complexities of the human brain. He says if you notice the picture carefully, you are bound to see various designs of the neurons in the brain. He felt during his course that these brain structures must be shown to all. The painting would be the best medium to show this important aspects of whatever is in the human skull.
Dunn says that he observed through microscope’s inside of the brain. It is like the Asian art. Somewhat like Japanese and Chinese paintings. You can experience that there is no difference in the forested landscape and brain landscape.

Somehow the brain has a tendency to make the brain neurons similar to the pattern discovered in nature. It is easier to understand and get rewarded on models of the brain and environment.

The mysteries of the brain might be determined in a better way if parallels drawn between the brain and the trees’ branching or grass growing. He believes that the meditation is a better way to understand more about brain than any other science.

The artist-cum- Neuroscientist says perhaps the brain has the pattern of the universe on a cosmic level.
