The 9 Foods That Are Difficult To Digest Only A Handful Of People Know.

digestive system

There are many such meals that are difficult to digest and damage the digestive system. It is common to see abdominal hubble, flatulence, gas, acidity, and after eating something if you feel restless then you have a problem due to one of the following foods.

When you eat too many animal-based protein foods, it takes your digestive system longer to break down their large molecules. As the food lingers in the gastrointestinal tract, you may feel bloated and suffer from gaseous pressure. You can speed up the digestive process by choosing plant-based foods to eat that contain little saturated fat and lots of dietary fiber.

As the National Institutes of Health or NIH, relate, soluble fiber can help digestion by creating a viscous substance as it breaks down. Insoluble fiber can then move more freely through the colon, clearing it of bulk and waste. Via

The ills of the Food industry are vast. And the food industry, unlike citizens, is protected by lobbyists, politicians and corporations. History has a way of repeating itself. If we look to the tobacco industry that publicly touted little health risk, the food industry is equally aware of which staples are detrimental to health, but publicly don’t bat an eye at our skyrocketing (and bankrupting) healthcare costs.

Type 2 diabetes is killing our economy, to the tune of $245 billion, per year. In the U.S. alone, nearly one-third of children and adolescents are overweight or obese, yet food and beverage companies continue to target them with advertising for the same products that contribute to their problems. To put the food industry’s hold on our health in proper perspective, realize that ten companies control nearly our entire food supply.) Via

Here we have a collection to depict the foods that are difficult to digest and learn how they work what should be done to control.

1) Ice cream:

Ice cream has the fat in the dairy products that bloat the stomach, cause indigestion or at times spasm of the stomach. Some people cannot stand lactose (milk sugar). One should eat sweets other than dairy products.

One food group that can be hard to digest belongs to dairy. All because of the sugar lactose found in milk and other dairy products. When lactose not absorbed properly, it is lactose intolerance and gas and bloating results. If you consume too much lactose, it goes into the large intestine, and diarrhea can develop or worsen. During digestive problems, it may still be okay to eat yogurt and hard cheeses because they have no lactose, or you can try lactose-free milk. Via:

Fat in Different Types of Ice Cream

Each type of ice cream — regular, reduced-fat, light and nonfat — has to contain a particular amount of fat. For example, regular ice cream must contain at least 10 percent milk fat while reduced-fat ice cream must contain at least 25 percent less fat than the original. Additionally, regular ice cream is divided into groups based on the quality, which includes super-premium, premium, regular and economy. Premium and super-premium ice creams have higher fat contents than regular and economy.

Slow-Digesting Fat

The amount of fat in ice cream plays a big role in how it’s digested. Compared to protein and carbs, fat takes the longest to leave your stomach, which is why certain types of ice cream are considered slow-digesting. Ice cream with a higher fat content, such as premium ice cream, may take longer to leave your stomach than regular or reduced-fat ice cream.

There is no research carried out on humans for the damage that can occur by lectin found in the beans.
