And I think that is more emotional.2) In Punjabi, we don’t say, “Are you happy now?” We say ” pai Gayi thand hun?” 3) In Punjabi, we don’t say ‘buzz off’.We say Dhor fittay moo, and I think that’s great! 4) In Punjabi, we don’t say “Get off of my back”. We say *Maghron Leh ja * 5)In Punjabi, we don’t say ‘to each their own’, We say, sanu ki, and I think it is cute. 6)In Punjabi, we don’t say ‘What’s up?’, We say hor koi Navi Taji? And I think it is more relaxed. 7)In Punjabi, we don’t say “Behave yourself”. We say”banda ban Ja”, and I think its funny. 8) In Punjabi, we don’t say “that’s more than sufficient”, We say”horr ki chayida, and I think it’s savage!  9) In Punjabi, we don’t say “All the best”, We say Chakk de Phatte, and it gives a different kind of adrenaline rush! 10) In Punjabi, we don’t say “get out”. We say Dafa ho ja I think that is more straight forward. 11) In Punjabi, we don’t say ‘leave it be’. We say mitti Pao Ji* and I think it is superb. 12) In Punjabi, we don’t say ‘Mind your own business’. We say Teinu ki, and I think it is cute. 13) In Punjabi, we don’t say ‘Welcome.’ We say jee Aaya nu. And that feels good. 14) In Punjabi, we don’t say, –SOCIAL DISTANCING; we say PARAAN MAR. That is easily understood for all. 15) In Punjabi, we don’t say “may I come in”. We say “Aa Jaavan.”. And I think it is super.  |
