The strong part of this construction is the diverse geometry that makes this house, the Strand Residence in California, a luxury place to live. The envisioning agency for this project was, Horst Architects. The house was developed as a series of open space embedded with a strong synchronization with the environment.
An extensive ocean view is available in each and every room of this house along with the reflecting views of ponds to provide a soothing surrounding.
The selection of textures and materials to construct this house has given this place a plus point above the feeling of living over the edge. The living in indoors and outdoors is so designed that the balance is maintained in between the privacy, intimacy and communal space.
The steel skeleton structure is clearly visible along with the wood and glass filled to intensify the appearance. The structure sits lightly along the coastal terrain whereas the structure is anchored by the limestone wall. Although the glass is used here in a massive, privacy is still not affected. The reason being the concrete backups the glass used. Do you like this?
